MARSPAL is a simple little utility to allow you to view Tim Clarke's
excellent mars demo in different colors.
To run MARSPAL place it in the same directory as MARS.EXE and run it
with the following command line params:
MARSPAL groundcolor skycolor cloudcolor
where groundcolor, skycolor and cloudcolor are any of the following:
black blue green cyan red magenta brown yellow white
Once mars.exe is running press F11 to set the custom palette or F12 to
restore the normal mars palette.
Here's a few of my favourites:
Earth : marspal green blue white
Sunset : marspal green blue magenta
Desert : marspal brown blue white
Storm : green blue black
Nuclear : marspal brown black red
LSD : marspal magenta cyan yellow
Moon : marspal white black black (Needs some stars)

Martian terrain renderer
------------------------
Here is a small demo to draw fractal voxel-based terrains in real time...
If you have a 386 or better with VGA graphics, run mars and use the mouse to
move around the landscape. Press any key to quit. A different map is calculated
each time the program is run. This code may form the basis of a forthcoming
game...

or texture-mapping etc, etc, e-mail me at: TJC1005@hermes.cam.ac.uk
