 1. The clock starts counting at '23:58:00 12/31/1999'
    mainly because I had Iron Maiden's 'Two Minutes To Midnight'
    stuck in my head. After putting the 120 second delay into
    the demo, it seemed to work out well with the mellow MODfile...

 2. At '23:59:59 12/31/1999' plus one second, the MOD is abruptly
    cut off... er, it does a pattern jump and plays the nasty
    s-c-r-a-t-c-h sample across four channels then hangs in an
    empty patternloop while the screen goes black.

 3. Four seconds later (dramatic pause), a new MOD gets started,
    the screen comes back to life showing a 256-by-112 scanned pic
    and a 3D-color starfield. After a few more seconds, text starts
    appearing and fading in the center of the screen...

 4. There are 80 textstrings shown, each with it's own display/fade
    clocktimes and screen position settings. (a blast to set up!)

 5. All timing is based on vblanks/second, so the demo should
    run at the same speed on PAL/NTSC.

 6. There is a complete clock/calendar routine in the program...
    The scratch/blackscreen is triggered when it rolls over to Y2k.

 7. I heard the scratch sample on Lords Of Acid's 'Expand Your Head' CD
    and I just HAD to use it for the sound of everything grinding to a
    halt at '12:00:00  01/01/00'...

 8. About the MODfiles, they were taken from Amiga demos. 'In The Bag'
    is from 'Jesus On Cheese' by SHITTS, while 'Shine In The Darkness 2'
    comes from 'Borntro' by TRSi.

 9. Sorry for recycling the note-stars, boingball, and the clockfont,
    but I didn't have much time to hack on this and I wanted to get
    it out before Christmas....

10. After you've sat through the 120 second clock ticking away
    at least once :-), you can smash the Square button to skip it.

     'Big Brother' ramblings...

     1984 = 0000011111000000
     2000 = 0000011111010000
                       ^
     George Orwell must have slipped a bit...
