ADDITIONAL NOTES
merry on the keys:
We made near 1400km packed in a two-days trip by car to get there! But Evoke:
HERE WE ARE!
Has been really fun to create this little intro. It started in a Slack channel
where Dascon suggested me to do something together. I was already interested
in doing something for my beloved Amiga since years ago but I never really felt
prepared. However it's Enigma's 30th anniversary and it sounded like the perfect
to try :)
What you see has been more or less packed in two to three weeks, but prior to
this I played a lot with C and assembly code on the Amiga during the last months
in order to understand how to program the machine. Actually the result is not
that top, but to me it has been the first stone to the building. I feel pretty
ready for the next Architect's adventure on the Amiga!!!
The last three days have been a complete nightmare. My Amiga is broken since
years, and I didn't manage to have real hardware to work with. When the intro
main lines were mostly done, Dascon tested the binary in his A500 with the
ACA 500 + expansion and... it didn't worked. Crumb tested it in both the A500 and
the A1200, and while the A500 (unexpanded) seemed to work, the A1200 didn't. I've
discovered a few subtleties that were making A600 and A1200 to miserably fail,
and after a few fixes it works seamlessly in actual hardware :D
I hope you enjoy this little homage to the stunning 80s and 90s cracktros we were
enjoying when we were kids that sometimes exceeded the quality of the games they
preceeded.
Peace <3
