The round 1 voting process was used to determine the top 15 rookie and top 25 veteran entries in MC4. Round 2 voting will determine the exact rank of these finalist entries. During Round 1 voting, voters wrote song comments on their vote forms. We will make these song comments available to the public after we are able to process them. This is the last phase of MC4. After the results are delivered on the first day of September, our job will be done. Your job will be to continue making the best music you can. =-----------------------------------------------------------------------------= :: "Voterform Editing Utility" :: GD / Hornet - gd@ftp.cdrom.com _____Introduction Trixter has provided for us a program which will easily allow users to edit their voter form while playing an MC4 entry in Cubic Player or Impulse Tracker. This program will make the voting process easy and efficient. _____Program Use The program is a TSR, which means it is run from the commandline and it remains in memory. Once a user loads this program, they can run Cubic Player or Impulse Tracker, play a song, and bring up the edit window while the song is playing. Rename your vote form to reviews.txt as this is the file that the editor will open. _____Limitations For this program to work, users must be using Cubic Player (v1.6 or v1.666) or Impulse Tracker v2.04 (MC4 Version). When it loads, it will occupy 50k of conventional memory. The editor window can not be loaded from the commandline. You must load the editor window (with the ALT-+ keypress) from within Cubic Player or Impulse Tracker. The editor can only hold 32k of text. If you run out of room, split your voter form into two parts and combine them before submission. _____Conclusion This utility is included in the archive "mc4notes.zip" which is included in the "mc4vrnd2.zip" file. See the "Files" section above for information on where to obtain this file. We recommend using this program to make MC4 voting easy. ==[Closing]==================================================================== _____How to subscribe to MC4 Updates Mail to : listserver@unseen.aztec.co.za Body : subscribe mc4-updates FIRST_NAME LAST_NAME The MC4 Updates Newsletter will be sent to your e-mail's return address. _____How to subscribe to DemoNews Mail to : listserver@unseen.aztec.co.za Body : subscribe demuan-list FIRST_NAME LAST_NAME DemoNews will be sent to your e-mail's return address. _____Back Issues New issues of MC4 Updates are posted to /demos/incoming/mc4/news Old issues of DemoNews are stored in /demos/hornet/demonews New issues of DemoNews are posted to /demos/incoming/news _____Contacting Us Questions related to MC4 should be directed to gd@ftp.cdrom.com ........................................................End.of.MC4.Updates.005.
