I read the file about some guy getting busted in the UK for boxing and
shuddered because exactly (almost) the same thing happened to me a week ago.
I don't care if anyone believes my story or not (after all, it's their
grievance if/when they get busted) but here it is.

I was at home when the pigs came to the door (fortunately I wasn't actually
boxing at the time).  There were two policemen and one BT official, and they
told my dad that BT had been doing a sweep of all their major exchanges and
were picking out people who had suspicious call logs.  They said that one of
the lines into this house had been used to make some 2000 odd calls to one
toll-free number in particular, which was of course my line, and they said
that they had been monitoring my line for a week and had recordings of all my
conversations and even records of most of the numbers I had called while
boxing.  They asked if I would accompany them to the police station to assist
with their enquiries, which of course I had to do, and they asked me all
sorts of shit, even about stolen calling cards which they found I used from
taping my calls.  I didn't grass anyone up, but they already know the names,
numbers and other details about some of my friends simply by monitoring my
phone line, and I didn't even notice it.  I appologise in advance to anyone
who gets caught because of the pigs tapping my line, but it's not my fault
really.  I reckon I can expect major hassles in the near future, because the
pig told me that I can be done for "theft of electricity belonging to BT" and
also possibly for credit card theft and related offences.  Whatever, I'm
pretty shaken up by it and also very pissed off.

Here's the conclusion of my unfortunate story...  Some people said that if
anyone got busted for blue-boxing, it would be the same as when all those
guys got done for black boxing, and everything would be back to normal a few
weeks after.  Well, if my situation is anything to go by, that isn't going be
the case.  I won't be able to risk using a card or boxing for a long time to
come, and might not even have the chance to if I get a term in jail as well
as a fine, which my dad's lawyer says is a real possibility.  The main reason
I wrote this is to show people what REALLY happens when you get busted.  I'm
not saying stop boxing right now, cos you'll definitely get busted, just that
if you do get busted, expect severe hassle.  It's a real drag sitting in a
police cell for hours waiting to be questioned by a sarcastic bastard of a
detective inspector.  I hope that I'm just very unlucky, because it would be
very bad for the scene if BT are really clamping down on phreaking.

I'm not going to sign this, but it'll probably become apparent who I am
sooner or later.
